NPM series booster cylinder

NPM series booster cylinder: Pneumatic-hydraulic booster cylinder for tool release, designed specifically for CNC machining centers to facilitate spindle tool unclamping and changing; utilizes air-to-oil boosting to generate high thrust output from a low-pressure air source.

Operating Principle: A combined pneumatic-hydraulic structure featuring a double-acting pneumatic cylinder and a single-acting hydraulic cylinder.

1. Tool Release: Air enters the upper chamber of the pneumatic cylinder, driving the piston to press down on the hydraulic cylinder. This pressurizes the hydraulic fluid, causing the piston rod to push down on the spindle drawbar and release the tool holder. Upon reaching the end of the stroke, the **spindle air blast** function activates automatically to clear metal chips and dust from the taper bore.
2. Reset (Tool Clamping): Air enters the lower chamber of the pneumatic cylinder, retracting the piston rod. Disc springs inside the spindle pull the tool holder tight, completing the clamping process.

The hydraulic cylinder is equipped with an independent oil reservoir featuring a float-type level sensor and a low-oil alarm.

Pneumatic-hydraulic combination: the hydraulic cylinder end is single-acting, while the pneumatic cylinder end is double-acting.

Equipped with a spindle air-blast function.

Excellent wear and corrosion resistance: Special treatment of the hydraulic cylinder bore significantly enhances its wear and corrosion resistance.

Oil cup low-level detection function.

Excellent sealing performance: Special sealing materials ensure the sealing performance of the hydraulic cylinder.
