QCK series Swing clamp cylinder is a compact 90° rotary-downward clamping pneumatic cylinder (also known as a rotary pneumatic cylinder) featuring a low-profile body and designed primarily for welding applications. Its operating sequence involves first rotating 90° and then clamping via a vertical downward stroke; the reset sequence involves first lifting and then rotating back to the open position.

Operating Principle: The piston rod features an internal helical guide groove, enabling a two-stage compound motion:
1. Rotation Stage: The piston rod rotates 90° while simultaneously rising or descending, swinging the clamp arm clear of the area above the workpiece.
2. Clamping Stage: The piston rod moves vertically downward to clamp the workpiece.

There is no mechanical self-locking mechanism; the clamp will release upon loss of air pressure, so continuous air supply is required to maintain clamping force. Clamping force is generated solely during the vertical clamping stroke; the rotation stage cannot be used to clamp the workpiece.

Excellent resistance to dust and welding spatter: The front cover features a stainless steel dust scraper ring that protects the cylinder from damage caused by dust and flying welding spatter, offering greater reliability than a dust boot.

Integrated sensor mounting slots (mounting slots for magnetic switches)

A variety of piston rod end styles are available: tapered type (with rocker arm) and flat type (without rocker arm).
