QDK series Swing clamp cylinder is a horizontal rotary clamping cylinder (also known as a rotary pneumatic cylinder). Unlike the QCK model—which descends while rotating—the QDK maintains a constant height during rotation (zero vertical travel during the rotary phase) and only performs the vertical clamping stroke after rotation is complete; it is designed primarily for use in tooling fixtures within confined spaces.

Operating Principle:
1. Horizontal Swivel Phase: The swing arm rotates 90° within a single horizontal plane; the piston rod height remains unchanged, allowing the arm to clear the top of the workpiece.
2. Vertical Clamping Phase: Once rotation is complete, the piston rod moves vertically downward—a short stroke of 5 mm—to clamp the workpiece.

There is no mechanical self-locking mechanism; the clamp releases upon loss of air pressure, so a continuous air supply is required to maintain clamping force. Clamping force is generated only during the downward stroke; the arm cannot exert clamping force during the rotation phase.

Planar rotary structure: The rotary motion is completed at the same horizontal level—meaning the vertical travel during rotation is zero.
