Causes:
Low air supply pressure, undersized cylinder bore,
lateral force on the piston rod, or seal binding/wear.
Solutions: Adjust pressure to 0.4–0.7 MPa,
upgrade to a larger bore size, eliminate eccentric loads,
and replace the seals.
Normal phenomenon:
In a single-rod cylinder, the area of the cap end (rodless side) is larger than that of the rod end; consequently,
the extension force is greater than the retraction force.
This is a standard structural characteristic.
Cause:
Internal leakage due to worn piston seals; insufficient air
pressure retention. Solution: Replace the piston seal;
check the pressure-regulating valve for pressure stability.
Causes:
Air entering the cylinder, moisture or impurities in the air supply,
excessively low speed setting, uneven frictional resistance.
Solutions: Repeatedly extend and retract the cylinder to bleed air,
install an air service unit (FRL), fine-tune the speed control valve,
and clean or replace seals.
Causes:
Solenoid valve stuck or damaged, air lines detached or incorrectly connected,
internal air leakage, mechanical jamming. Solutions: Inspect/repair solenoid valve, verify piping connections, replace seals, check mechanical limit stops.
Reason:
The built-in spring is fatigued and broken,
the air pressure is too high to resist the piston, and the cylinder block is stuck.
Solution: Replace the cylinder spring, adjust the working pressure,
and clean the foreign matter in the cylinder.
Causes:
Air tubing is too narrow or too long; the flow control valve is throttled too tightly;
air supply flow rate is insufficient.
Solutions: Use larger-diameter
air tubing; increase the flow control valve opening; stabilize the air supply pressure.
Causes:
Wear on the dust seal or rod oil seal, scoring or scratches on the piston rod, or seal damage caused by dust or foreign objects.
Solutions: Replace the complete seal kit; replace the piston rod if scoring is severe.
Causes:
Aging of the end cap seal, assembly misalignment, or loose mounting screws.
Solutions: Tighten screws evenly and replace the end cap seal.
Cause:
Damaged cylinder piston seal causing internal leakage,
with gas venting directly through the valve exhaust port.
Solution: Disassemble the cylinder and replace the piston seal.
Causes:
Lack of cushioning or ineffective cushioning, excessive operating speed, high load inertia.
Solutions: Select a model with pneumatic cushioning, reduce operating speed, or install external cushioning pads.
Causes:
Air leaks at pipe connections, seal leakage in the cylinder block, or internal air bypass.
Solutions: Check and tighten connections; replace worn or aged seals.

Mini cylinders are designed only for axial push-pull motion;
subjecting them to radial or lateral forces is strictly prohibited,
as this can easily score the piston rod and damage the seals.
Lateral loads require the use of guide rails or guide rods.
Installation is possible in either horizontal or vertical orientations; for vertical downward applications,
the weight of the load must be taken into account—using a larger cylinder bore is recommended to prevent sagging or lack of force.
ISO 6432 standard cylinders (DSNU/CRDSNU/C85/MI) are directly interchangeable;
JIS-style, aluminum alloy, and short-stroke versions offer functional equivalence but require mounting bracket modifications.
Essential specifications to verify: bore size, stroke, thread type, mounting style, and cushioning.
Applications involving high speeds, inertial loads, or end-of-stroke impact require pneumatic cushioning; models without cushioning may be selected for low-speed, light-load, and short-stroke applications.
Under standard clean operating conditions, the service life can exceed 8 million cycles; however, exposure to dust, humidity, or eccentric loads will significantly reduce this lifespan.
Install an air service unit (FRL), keep the air supply dry and clean, prevent lateral loading, and regularly inspect the seals.
