ACK series Swing clamp cylinder

ACK series Swing clamp cylinder is a rotary-downward clamping cylinder (also known as a swing-clamp cylinder) that combines rotary and linear downward motions. Its operating sequence involves first rotating, then clamping via a vertical downward stroke; the return stroke involves first lifting, then rotating to retract. It is used in tooling fixtures to clamp workpieces while clearing the space required for loading and unloading.

Operating Principle: The piston rod features an internal helical guide groove structure, and the action consists of two stroke stages:
1. Rotation Stroke: The piston rod descends while rotating, swinging the clamp arm to the preset angle (90°/180°) and positioning it over the workpiece;
2. Clamping Stroke: The piston rod moves vertically downward in a straight line to clamp the workpiece;

Note: Clamping force is generated only during the vertical downward stroke; the workpiece must not be clamped during the rotation phase.
This is a double-acting cylinder without a mechanical self-locking function; it will release the workpiece if the air supply is cut off, so continuous air supply is required to maintain clamping pressure.

Single-sided clamping plate (ACK) and double-sided clamping plate (ACKD) options available.

Long service life: The piston rod is made of special alloy steel and undergoes heat treatment to ensure an extended service life.
