Rotary Cylinder: Basic Parameters for Selection

A rotary cylinder is a pneumatic actuator that converts the pressure energy of compressed air into the rotary or oscillating motion of an output shaft.

Unlike standard linear cylinders—which only perform linear extension and retraction—this type of cylinder produces rotary output.

It is commonly used in automation equipment for tasks requiring actions such as rotating through an angle, flipping over, or clamping followed by tightening.

HRQ Series Rotary Cylinder

Ultra-thin rotary type

1. Rack-and-pinion structure ensures smooth operation;
2. Dual-cylinder design enables double the output force;
3. High-precision machining of the work table allows for easy load mounting and accurate positioning;
4. A through-hole in the center of the work table facilitates piping connections;
5. Positioning holes are provided on both sides (sizes 10–200) or the bottom (sizes 2–7) of the cylinder body, ensuring convenient installation;
6. Two cushioning options are available: fixed cushioning via adjustment screws or hydraulic shock absorbers. Hydraulic shock absorbers offer 3 to 5 times the maximum cushioning energy of fixed adjustment screws, providing superior cushioning performance.
Note: Models HRQ2, HRQ3, and HRQ7 feature only the fixed cushioning method (via adjustment screws) and do not support hydraulic shock absorbers.
